Recently, some 238 Android apps infected with dangerous adware were discovered. These apps roughly have 440 million downloads. In another case, fake Instagram assistance apps on Google Play Store were found to be stealing users' passwords. Not just this, earlier this year, some apps were found to be stealing Android smartphone users' photos. Security firm Trend Micro discovered malware in some 29 beauty and camera filter apps on Google Play Store. The security company warned that a large number of download counts originated from Asia, particularly India.

 Google removed these apps from the Play Store.
